Lake of the Pines
Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains between Auburn and Grass Valley just off Highway 49, you will find Lake of the Pines: A private gated community of approximately 2,000 homes surrounding a 230 acre lake with 5.5 miles of shoreline with lakefront homes and parks, popular for golf, water skiing, fishing, swimming and sailing. Lake of the Pines is a community where neighbors care about neighbors, where grazing deer and quite walks are part of everyday life. Lake of the Pines residents enjoy the security that comes with a gated community. Perimeter fencing surrounds the 1,535 acre development and 24 hr public safety staff patrols the 22 miles of private roads.
Lakes & Parks
Within the Lake of the Pines Community, four lakes and ponds support a variety of recreational, aesthetic and educational uses by members. Nearly 15-percent (292) of home sites have direct waterfront access to either the main lake (232-acres), Hazel Lake (four-acres) or Huck Finn Pond (three-acres). The remaining home sites have lake and pond access through seven-parks with five-beaches, a main beach, a boat launch ramp, other common areas and a marina with 132-boat slips. The Entrance Pond (0.5-acre) sets a scenic tone for LOP.
Golf Course
The 19 hole golf course is a challenging 6140 yards in a beautiful setting and excellently maintained. It offers shots over water, canyons, creeks and bunkers. It is a truly fun course to play.
Lake of the Pines is located above the fog and below snow level, offering many great days of play through the year.
